Two years ago, Key to the CIty invited the people of New York (natives and tourists alike) to explore the city they lived in, across all five of its boroughs. Participants were given a key and a passport, which outlined the locations that could be accessed with the key. It opened anything from an alternate route to the George Washington Bridge, to a door in Gracie Mansion, to even a lamppost in Bryant Park. This is the door to the Tortilleria Nixtamal, a Mexican restaurant where the key unlocked the door to their underground kitchen. Here you can see the names and comments of everyone who came for the event and stayed for the food.
I love this place
